We have a strong desire to preserve the unique and majestic qualities of the standard poodle breed.”

Terri’s Testimony

Jean Luc

Jean Luc We could not be more thrilled with our seven month old puppy, Jean Luc from Paloma Standard Poodles! He fit right into our family with our large, older, male poodle and a small, cranky terrier, happily weaving side by side through our home with his beloved new poodle brother, playing non-stop.

Jean Luc has the best temperament and personality- calm yet very playful, and so, so smart, he learns everything instantly and is eager to please. He is also especially loving and affectionate. He communicates well with short, high-pitched barks when he wants something and a scary deep watchdog bark if he senses any threat or danger.

He is not reactive to other dogs, nor aggressive, loves people and is good with small children. And did I mention, he is absolutely stunning with beautiful, expressive black eyes, an elegant muzzle, dazzling white teeth, soft inky black fur, and a confirmation, stance and gait that could be in the show ring.

We absolutely love him - thank you, Pamela!

Anita’s Testimony

Remi and Beau

“On Nov 17th, 2017, my amazing daughter Remi was born! ‘Regally Remi’ is a gorgeous black standard poodle raised lovingly by Pam and Tom. This was my first large dog and first poodle. I expected Remi to be smart and loving, but she far exceeded my expectations.

Now that I am retired and live by myself in Florida, Remi is my sole companion, and I love her dearly. People stop me on the street, in restaurants, and in the dog park to compliment on how magnificent Remi looks! Then, when I introduce these new people to Remi, they go crazy over her. Remi fits her formal name, “Regally Remi, because she has a champion stance and walks like she is in a show ring. She can outrun any breed in the dog park and loves to play.

I recalled that my 22-year-old daughter, an only child, always wanted a sibling to play with when she was growing up. After I got Remi, I thought Remi might enjoy having a sibling to play with too. Remi’s mom, Piper, was having her last litter, and on June 29, 2020. ‘Bodacious Beau,’ Remi’s half-brother, was born, and I brought him home to live and play with his half-sister. He is just as magnificent as Remi. He has dark, soft hair, an elegant face, and a wonderful personality. I found it interesting that I found house-training a boy was easier and a much calmer experience than house-training his sister. After bringing him home with me, after one week, Beau slept all night in his crate in my bedroom! Of course, Remi sleeps on my king-sized bed with me.

Remi and Beau have redefined my life. They are my loves and I take them with me everywhere. Pam and Tom have the winning formula. Luckily, I got to know them. ”

Lori’s Testimony

CH. Paloma’s A Flash Of Royalty ”Zeus.”

“As the very proud owner of Zeus, aka CH. Paloma's A Flash Of Royalty; having Zeus in my life has been an absolute joy! He is not only beautiful, above all, he is a wonderful, loving, sweet, and goofy boy. He loves meeting new people, and he shows it! In addition, he also loves other dogs no matter what the breed. I have Chihuahuas and he is terrific with them.

I would never buy a poodle without knowing their health background. I got Zeus from Pamela because I have confidence in her reputation as a breeder. Before getting Zeus, I knew his parents were health-tested and cleared. Pam has been a complete joy to work with. I cannot say enough positive things about her. She is knowledgeable and caring, and she makes sure that the temperament of the puppy is well-suited to the prospective owners. If you are considering a Standard Poodle, look no further than Paloma Standard Poodles.

Susan’s Testimony

Mitzi and her mom Susan

“Pamela and I live in the same neighborhood. Over the years, I have seen Pam walking with the standard poodles that she breeds. I could see how beautiful they were and, I observed their temperament.

Now, I have the good fortune to own one. Pamela breeds poodles to have all of the qualities that I feel are important for a family pet to possess.

Not only does my Mitzi possess a loving temperament, she has excellent stance and form. Her hair is full and healthy. Of course, she has the amazing poodle smarts too.

Thank you Pamela for bringing such a bundle of pure joy into my life.”

Carrie’s Testimony

Bianca

“My husband and I walk our dogs together. We are stopped because it is hard to go far- everyone wants to meet them and look at them!

I have to say that Bianca is a “looker.” She walks beautifully. Actually, she struts and she knows she is beautiful!”

Priscilla’s Testimony

Baker Belle

“Baker Belle is the most outstanding dog we have ever had, and we have had many. She is spirited in a sweet and playful way. She loves training sessions, and has the ability and desire to do what she's asked. She is very lovable and cuddly, and adores playing. She gets along well with other dogs, and is a great admirer of children. Adding her to our family was one of the best decisions we've made.

Thank you, Pamela Widerman, for breeding such a magnificent girl.”

Leann’s Testimony

Vivi

“I have been involved with animals my entire life. In fact, this is my fourth Standard Poodle.

After I decided that I wanted one of the puppies from Pamela’s upcoming litter, I spoke with Pamela in advance and got on the list for a standard poodle puppy from an upcoming litter. Once my name was on the list, I was amazed at the time, effort, and energy Pamela put in updating future puppy parents with photos and messages.

We received pictures of the puppy’s mama, “Pink,” in different stages of pregnancy and an announcement along with pictures of the newborn pups. Throughout their development we received many photos and videos of the puppies sleeping, playing, walking, and being socialized. We even received pictures of the puppies after their first baby haircuts!

Palomas Standard Poodles are beautiful, refined, and inky black. They are brimming with personality and brains.

From the moment she arrived in our home, our baby, Vivi, has fulfilled all her responsibilities. She has played with her big sister, Smitty, until they are both exhausted. Vivi has made us laugh hysterically, she can be very cuddly with everyone, she is so easy to train, and she has grown into a beautiful example of what fine and professional breeding produces.”

Audrey’s Testimony

Razzy, on his first day home, and his first ride to the vet’s.

Razzy counter surfing.

“Razzy’s formal name is Erasmus, and he is the third white standard poodle my husband and I have had since we were married. Within ten days of receiving him into our home, at nine weeks old, Razzy had mastered several commands, terrorized the Muscovy ducks, and Egyptian geese that inhabit the lake behind our house, and he grew almost an inch and a half in height.

One morning while my husband was eating his breakfast sitting across from me, he suddenly said, “Look- LOOK!” to me. I looked across the table to see Razzy with his muzzle resting on the top of the dining room table! Heaven help us.

Razzy eats his meals with abandon, so we wisely purchased a “slow feeder.” He frequently “tazzes”- *think Tasmanian Devil - around the living room, and afterwards, in a state of puppy exhaustion, he passes out.

One evening after our dinner, we sat down in the living room to watch TV. My husband had a long day, so he nodded off. I was wide awake for about twenty minutes, but eventually I drifted off too. About an hour later I woke up with a start and spotted the outline of what looked like Baby Yoda sitting in front of the TV. Razzy was babysitting both of us!

Razzy has every characteristic we wanted in a standard poodle. We have had him with us for seven months now and he has grown into a tall, handsome puppy with long legs and a strong, protective bark. Razzy has an exceptionally good nature, and he absolutely loves people and other dogs, which has made socialization very easy. He is highly inquisitive, and he is unphased by most things that would make other puppies squeal or put their tails down. If I am busy, he plays independently, sometimes for hours.

Best of all, his affection is metered out with equal opportunity. He loves both my husband and me. The only difference is that he relates to me like a Mommy and my husband as a Daddy.”
